Abstract (EN)
In this study, an alternative topology to multilevel inverter topologies is developed. 6 IGBT seminconductor switches are used in this topology and coupled inductors are used in the output stage of the inverter. In the simulation study, a R-L load and an induction motor are used. The field oriented control technique was prefered while making speed control of induction motor with 6 switched 3-level inverter. In this control technique, PI controller has been used in speed control unit. By using the data taken from controller, the required switching signals have been produced for a 6 switched 3-level inverter. These signals have been taken by using space vector pulse width modulation technique. With respect to the this modulation technique, the harmonic components of output current have been decreased to minimum level and the motor has been controlled up to rated speed. 6 switched 3-level inverter topology is shown to be an a ropriate topology for high speed motor drives in this study.
