Abstract (EN)

This study aimed to examine the impact of attachment styles on the domain of playing skills in 6 years old children. The study was conducted with 6 years old first year primary school students and their parents in Fatih District of Istanbul in 2018 and 2019. To identify the level of attachment of participants "Incomplete Stories with Doll Family Scale" was implemented; to identify play skills of participants "Game Skills Scale" was implemented and to identify demographic information of participants "Parents Form" was implemented. Findings revealed a significant relationship has been found between attachment styles and play skills of participants. In conclusion, playing skills has increased with increased secure attachment level and has decreased with increased dismissive and negative attachment styles.
