Abstract (EN)
Urban history is one of the most important historical studies in our day. Court records are the most important sources that shed light on these studies. Our study focuses on the foundations, which worked as social institutions in Manisa in the 17th century. 1627 The mosques, masjids, bridges, fountains, schools and unmentioned purpose-foundations within the number 63 of court records, which contain 1627 to 1628 and 1632 to 1633 years, were examined according to their financial status, their officials, various Professional branches, the date of operation and the borrowers. Information was gathered on the regions where the foundations were established.
