Abstract (EN)

Şer'îyye registers are one of the most important sources to be used in order to read the Ottoman history correctly and to transfer it to the future. Decisions taken in the local courts, orders and edicts coming from the headquarters, orders, berats etc. important information such as these documents, which are kept separately from certain places, are an indispensable source of local history studies and their transcripts are being made. It is an important resource for the in-depth study and research of Ottoman history There are 174 Sharia Registers belonging to Ayıntâb which is a banner of Aleppo Province. According to this; The first book belonging to Gaziantep is H.938 / M.1531–1532. The last book is dated H. 1327 / M. 1909-1910. Hijri 1129-1130 (M. 1717-1718) dated, number 68 Ayıntâb Şer'îyye Register consists of a total of 537 pages. In this study, XVIII. ın the first quarter of the century, the Ottoman Empire in general and Ayıntâb's social, economic, political, physical and cultural backgrounds were tried to be illuminated.
