Abstract (EN)

Key Words: Flavonoid glucosides, Flavonoids, Apigenin Flavonoid and other polyphenol glycosides are widely distributed natural product in plants. Many flavonoids show biological activities important in the growth and development of plants, and more interestingly, represents potential drug candidates having antimicrobial, anticancer and antioxidant properties. Despite of the wide occurance and biological importance of polyphenolic glycosides, synthetic efforts towards efficient preperation of this group of natural products are rarely reported. Apigenin 7,4?-O-di-ß-D-glucopyranoside were recently isolated from petals of Salvia patents respectively. In this study, these naturally occuring flavonoid O-glucosides were synthesized starting from naringenin, a low cost and industrially available compound. Total synthesis were carried out using five or six steps including selective glycosidations, deacetylation and succesfull oxidation with acceptable yields. .
