A study about the difference in drawing improvement degrees between the students in regular classes and the students with special needs

This research is a study about the difference in drawing improvement degrees between the students in regular classes and the students with special needs.This research was conducted in spring term of 2008-2009 Academic Year in Kocaeli ,Gebze with 10 students between the ages7 and 9 from Special Education School and Art Work Education School and also with 7-9 year old 10 students from Mehmet Zeki OBDAN Primary School.The data of the research is based on the art studies of the students about `Family? and `School and Teacher? and also the ideas of teachers.This research is a qualitative study and based on observation method.In order to collect the data of this research students were askedto draw pictures about `Family? and `School and Teacher?.For this work ,students were given two lesson time(40+40)in their own classes.During the study,the class teachers were asked for their help in orderto communicate beter with the students with special needs.Also some evaluations were made after taking the opinions of class teachers.The pictures drawn by the experiment group were graded according to evaluation criterion and measure which were created and approved by three experts.Evaluation criterion is composed of three parts;?In Respect of Shema?,?In Respect of Colour? and `In Respect of Composition? and also totally 12 articles.These results were evaluated by the fourth expert and researcher.
