Abstract (EN)

This study covers the acquisition of ıma Reflection of Light and Reflection inMirrors'in a secondary school affiliated to the Ministry of National Education inBartın. In order to determine the effect of inquiry-based teaching strategies onstudents' academic achievement, attitudes and scientific process skills, quasiexperimental method was used. The population of the study consists of 7th grade students in 7th grade students in a selected secondary school affiliated to MoNE(NTest: 20; NControl: 25). In the study, an experiment and a control group were selectedto determine the effect of inquiry-based learning approach. For three weeks, thecurriculum was applied to the experimental group in accordance with the inquirybased learning approach of the soğ Reflection in the Mirrors and Absorption of Light"unit based on the inquiry-based learning approach and based on the gains in the official program. In the control group, 7th Grade Science and Technology CourseProgram was applied. Scientific Process Skills Test (BSB), Achievement Test (IT)and Science Course Attitude Scale were applied to the experimental and controlgroups. In order to evaluate the test results, t test, Mann Whitney U-test andWilcoxon Signed Ranks Test were used for independent samples and SPSS 22.0statistical program was used. According to the data obtained from the experimentaland control groups; It is concluded that teaching strategies based on inquiry andinquiry have positive effects on students' academic achievement, attitudes andscientific process skills.Keywords: Research-based learning, scientific process skills, academicachievement, science course attitude.
