Internet addiction survey of 7th graders and activity suggestions intended for the determined problems (Gemlik district sample).

This research is done for the purpose of internet addiction survey of 7th graders and activity suggestions intended for the determined problems (Gemlik District Sample). Descriptive survey model has been used in this research. Survey and scale used for data collection. The sampling of the quantitive dimension of this research contains 604 students who are studying in 8 secondary schools in the territory of Gemlik district. 15 questions to the 7thgrade school students took part in the survey have been asked improved by the researcher for the purpose of determining the demographic information and internet usage characteristics, for the parents of the students, the social activities, the friendship relations and the school successes were gathered in 38 matter-length survey. Frequency, percentage and (SKPA) as descriptive, Chi-Square independence test, t test, and one-way variance analysis techniques have been used during the evaluation of the data. According to the research results, meaningful relations found between sexuality, economical income, mother's educational level and parents' educational level and daily internet usage. Meaningful relation between father's educational level and daily internet usage of father has not been found.Family, friendship relations, social activities, and academic school success also as dimentions of scale have not been determined meaningful differentiation. When dimention avarages considered, I "agree" in all dimentions dominate "I totally agree" although its value is so close to "I totally agree". Based on matter scale, in 10 matters; "I totally agree", in 27 matters;"I agree", and in 1 matter; "I am impartial" idea became prominent. Various suggestions offered based on results obtained in the research. Finally, as result of this resaerch and related researchs aimed at solution to problematic internet usage by preparing activities hoping to contribute to students, teachers and parents.
