Abstract (EN)
This study has been done in order to research the relationship between the success of 7grade students in Science course in SBS and ?scientific creativity level? and how their scientific creativity scores change according to gender and school type.Study was carried out by 317 students who study in 8 schools (5public, 3private col) within Adapazarı in Sakarya Provience in the second term of 2010-2011 Education Season. Destrictive scanning model and document review method was used in that study. ?Scientific Creativity Scale? was taken developed by Hu and Adey as data collection tool, and it was translated into Turkish by Aktamıs (2007) and the titles which were not suitable for our culture was changed so that a scale including 6 titles was used.Scale titles were evaluated for some scienrific creativity levels such as fluency, flexibity and originality. Datas used for reseacrh was gained by DYBP,Science scores,2010 SBS results, and school registrations.At the end of this research low relationship was found between SBS successes and scientific creativity of 7 grade students. In research, no difference was found in thier BYP according to gender. Morover no meaningfull distinctiveness between scientific creativities among students who study in public school or private school was found.Keywords: Scientific Creativity, Placement Test (SBS), Science Education
