Abstract (EN)
In the past, the scientific developments in the basis of scientific studies carried out in the nature of the Turkish Islamic civilization have brought valuable and important contributions to science. It is important for the students who are at the center of our education system to know the lives and scientific studies of Turkish-Islamic scholars who lived in the past and had great achievements and to know the students' views about these scholars. The lives and scientific studies of these scholars should be conveyed to the students. In this way, students can be influenced by the lives and personal characteristics and successes of these scholars to direct their future lives, to have a sense of scientific curiosity and to be raised as beneficial individuals to society. The aim of this research is to investigate the evaluation of 7th Grade students regarding the scholars raised in Turkish-Islamic Civilization. Students; the Turkish Islamic scholars (Harezmi, Farabi, İbn-i Sina, Hazini, Cezeri, İbn-i Haldun, Ali Kuşçu, Fatih Sultan Mehmet, Piri Reis, Mimar Sinan, Katip Çelebi) and their knowledge of the period and scientific developments their opinions on the contributions were also evaluated. Research has been pursued according to Phenomology, which is one of the qualitative research methods. The study group of the research; Mükerrem Mehmet Eke Secondary School of Denizli Province is composed of 30 students who have social studies course success of 85 points and above. Developed with the consent of the researcher to collect data structured interview form was used. The interviews that took place in February 2019 lasted a total of 1710 minutes. The interview records were transferred to the computer via Microsoft Word Program and the data obtained were evaluated by descriptive analysis. As a result of the research; The seventh grade students included in the research were generally familiar with the characteristics of the architects Mimar Sinan, Ali Kuşçu, Piri Reis, Harezmi, Fatih Sultan Mehmet, İbn-i Sina ve Cezeri, who were raised in Turkish Islamic civilization. However, it was concluded that some students did not have enough idea and correct information about Katip Çelebi, Hazini, Farabi, İbn-i Haldun. It has emerged that the students generally gained their ideas about the scholars who were educated in Turkish Islamic civilization from social studies courses, course teachers and textbooks. In addition, it was concluded that they obtained their knowledge from the internet, movies, documentaries, cartoons and their families. The expressions of Turkish Islamic scholars regarding the common characteristics are generally; be patient, productive, intelligent, researcher and curious. Moreover, some students pointed out their characteristics such as loving their country, being forward-thinking, being fearless, brave, male and Muslim. It has been seen that the students were concentrated in their views, if Turkish Islamic scholars lived today, they would have lived in developed countries and would continue scientific studies. It has been seen that the students had the opinion that the scholars raised in the Turkish-Islamic Civilization carried out studies that would contribute to the current scientific developments and constitute the basis. The students concentrated on the view that Ibn-i Sina was the most important Turkish Islamic scholar who contributed to science. According to the students' views, the most effective invention or invention on the basis of the current scientific developments is the number "0'' ve and "X''. It was concluded that the discoveries and inventions in the field of health were also considered important by the students.
