Abstract (EN)
In this study, effect of machining parameters on performance characteristics in milling of 7075 aluminum alloy by using minimum and conventional quantity coolant was experimentally investigated. Performance outputs are the surface roughness of work piece and burr height. The cutting fluid in machining with minimum quantity coolant was sent between work piece and cutting tool as pulverize. The mixture of boron oil and water was used as the cutting fluid. The experiments were performed with different cutting tools (HSS, TiN and Carbide), spindle speeds (260, 780 and 1330 rev/min) and feed rates (20, 40 and 80 mm/min). Any burr formation was not seen in the experiments so comments are made by taking into consideration surface ruoghness. In experiments it is determined that the surface roughness was increased when feed rate was increased but the surface roughness was reduced when the spindle speed was increased. In addition to the results of surface roughness are taken from experiments are made carbur tools better than TiN and HSS tools.
