Investigation of the empathetic tendency, life satisfaction and parental child containing functions of children age ages 8-9

The study aims to examine the relationship between experience empathic tendency, life satisfaction and parental child containig in the 8-9 age group. The study group of the research consists of 491 parents and their children who voluntarily agree to participate. Personal Information Form, Ka-Si Empathic Tendency Scale Child Form, Life Satisfaction Scale, The Parental Child Containing Functions Scale prepared by the researcher were used to collect research data. For the collected analysis, a suitable data analysis program for social sciences, SPSS 17.0 package program is used. Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro Wilk normality tests were applied to reveal the normal distribution of the data. The primary normal test was used to reveal the relationship between the empathic criminal, conclusions, life satisfaction scales and their subordinates, which will answer the problem statement of the research, and Spearman Rank Differences Correlation method was used to prevent normal distribution. The Mann-Whitney U Test and Kruskal-Wallis Test, which are non-parametric methods, were used to solve the sub-problems in the study. According to the results of the analysis conducted to determine the relationship between the empathic tendencies of the participants and the containing functions of the parents, it was determined that there was a positive relationship between the empathic tendency and the sensitivity to worry-separation sub-dimensions of the parents' containing functions, and the relationship with the spouse sub-dimension, and a negative relationship with the Non-Containing Relationship dimension. It was determined that there was no relationship with Satisfaction Orientation and Strict Prescriptive sub-dimensions. While there was a positive relationship between children's life satisfaction and the Relationships with Spouse and Non-Containing Relationships sub-dimensions, it was found that there was no relationship between the worry-sensitivity and satisfaction-oriented dimensions. According to the analysis result of the difference between the empathic tendency of the children and the demographic characteristics of the participants within the scope of the study; It was determined that there was no significant difference between the educational status of the parents, the playing status of symbolic games, the daily time spent with the father, the perceived academic success, the parent's provision of care in the first year of life, the screen time they were exposed to in one day and the empathic tendencies of the children. However it was determined that there is a statistically significant difference between a child's psychological trauma at birth, pre-school education, daily time with the mother and empathic tendencies of the children. According to the analysis of the difference between children's life satisfaction and demographic characteristics of the participants, it was found that there was no significant difference between parents 'educational status, traumatic experiences, time spent with parents, parents' provision of care, screen time in a day and life satisfaction. . However, it was determined that there is a statistically significant difference between pre-school education, symbolic games, academic success and life satisfaction.
