Özet (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine self-esteem and its effect on sport-specific success motivations of 10-12 age group students of volleyball training regularly done for 8 weeks. In the research method, single group pre-test and post-test data were evaluated by using a weak experimental design in the quantitative scanning model. The study, which was applied to the experimental group, was completed with an in-group tournament after teaching overhead pass, underhand pass, service, spike-hit and block in volleyball. Control group students only attended their regular classes. In the experimental group, a total of 67 students, 28 male and 39 female, participated in the study. In the control group, there are a total of 65 students, 37 male and 28 female. In the study, personal information form, Coopersmith self-esteem scale and Willis's sport-specific achievement motivation scale were applied in order to obtain pre-test and post-test data in the experimental and control groups consisting of students who did and did not do sports by receiving volleyball training.Statistical analyzes of the research were made with JASP (A Fresh Way to Do Statistics) 0.9.2.0 program. Reliability analyzes of the research questions were made according to the average scores obtained from each question by analyzing normal distribution and homogeneous distribution analyzes. In the self-esteem scale, statistical processes were performed by multiplying the total and average scores by 4 according to the scale directive. In the statistical method, frequency (N), percent (%) average (X̄) and T-test (T-Test analysis of Student and Paired Samples) and One-Way Variance analysis were applied. The statistical significance of the evaluation of the results was determined as Cronbach's Alpha p<0.05. As a result of the studies, the pre-test and post-test of the experimental group were compared and it emerged that self-esteem and sport-specific success motivation increased in the post-test. According to the gender of the experimental group, self-esteem was found to be higher in males than in females. It was determined that the self-esteem of the experimental group was higher in the 10 and 11 age groups compared to the 12 age groups in the pre-test. It has been determined that the motivation of the students who have sport-specific success motivation in the control group, those who have 1-3 siblings in the pre-test, and students who have 1-3 siblings in the post-test are higher than those who have 4 or more siblings. According to the variable of the status of computers in the case of the control father, the slef-count of the children who graduated from primary and high school was higher than the others in the pre-test.
