Abstract (EN)
Energy is the world?s biggest problem especially for our country. For this reason, precautions taken for energy consumption would be useful for country and world economy. In our country, most of heating and cooling systems are applied by old technologies without required energy analyses. This situation is a significant parameter in case of increasing supplies in our country which depends on other countries as energy. In this study, energy (first law of thermodynamic) and exergy (second law of thermodynamic) analyses of shopping center in Ankara that needs of heating and cooling in area of 80.000 m2 was performed by using collected data for a period of approximately three years. According to energy analyses for heating systems; it is indicated that heat exchanger has got lowest efficiency, but boiler high efficiency. On the other hand exergy analyses shows opposite circumstance; heat exchanger has got the highest efficiency but boiler has got the lowest efficiency. Energy analyses which are performed for summer cooling system has got highest efficiency in chiller, but the lowest efficiency on fan coil line. For exergy analyses it is learn that lowest efficiency is exercised in chiller and the highest efficiency is exercised in air heating unit (AHU) line. Energy analyses for winter cooling system shows that AHU possess the highest efficiency, but dry cooler possess the lowest efficiency. For exergy analyses it is indicated that the lowest efficiency is practiced in fan coil (FC), but the highest efficiency is practiced in cooling heat exchanger. The results obtained by analyses show that exergy analyses are more realistic than the energy analyses. Therefore, recruitments in chiller and boiler increase performance of system and this provides energy efficiency.
