Abstract (EN)

In this study, records of the Ayniyat Register numbered 826 belonging to Edirne, Adana and Şarkî Rumeli between 1874-1875 in the Sublime Porte Secretariat were transcribed and the documents were evaluated. The transcribed documents are summarized in modern Turkish. The registers cover the correspondences between the office of the Grand Vizier and the province. Short letters sent from the Grand Vizier to the provincial administrators and called "şukka" are recorded in this register exactly. These letters were sent from the office of Grand Vizier for information or solving problems in response to the petitions on complaints or requests written by the official authorities in the province, by a person or the community. In these short letters addressed to the provinces, governorships and district governorships regarding the petitions, it was asked to "conduct an investigation on the mentioned subject, make the necessary actions according to the result of this research and report the result to the Grand Vizier". The documents in this register are mainly related to administrative, economic, social, public order, development and construction activities and immigrants. In this study, the documents in the register have been classified according to their subjects and the subject integrity has been tried to be ensured. The content and evaluation of the register are presented under the headings arranged according to the classification.
