Abstract (EN)
Mühimme Registers, in which decisions of Divan-ı Hümâyûn were registered, are primary Ottoman archival sources and it is possible to learn about political, military, administrative and financial issues of the Ottoman Empire thanks to these registers. The Muhimme Register Number 86, which belongs to the years 1636-1637, has 91 pages and contains 153 verdicts. In this study the Muhimme Register Number 86 was translated from Ottoman alphabet to Latin alphabet, the verdicts were summarized and evaluated. Most of the verdicts in this Muhimme Register are related to the preperations on Eastern border between 1636 and 1637. In this context fortifications of castles on Eastern border and supplyment of these castles in terms of soldiers, rations and ammunition are the major issues of the verdicts. In addition there are some verdicts about the measures taken against the bandits of Cossacks in the Black Sea and issues concerning the Druze rebellion in the Muhimme Register Number 86.It can be said that the Muhimme Register Number 86 is an important source for the studies in the context of above-mentioned subjects.
