Şihâbu'l-Hicâzî diye tanınan Ahmed B. Ali'ye ait Ed-dureru'l-Manzûme Mine'n-nüketi'l-mefhûme adlı eserin tahkik ve tahlili

This study investigates and authenticates the valuable cultural heritage work titled "al Durar al-Manẓūmah min al-Nukat al-mafhūmah". This work belongs to Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad Shihāb al-Dīn al-Ḥijāzī (d. 875 AH) and contains linguistic and poetic interpretations of Ibn Salāmah al-Anbārī's commentary on al-Ḥarīrī's Makamât. al-Qāsim ibn ʻAlī al-Ḥarīrī's (d. 516 AH) Makamât is one of the wonders of Arabic literature and has been admired by his contemporaries and subsequent scholars, writers, and virtuous individuals. They have endeavored to explain the linguistic treasures in this work. One of these commentaries belongs to Abī al-Khayr Salāmah ibn ʻAbd al-Bāqī ibn Salāmah al Ḍarīr al-Anbārī al-Naḥwī (d. 590 AH). al-Shihāb al-Ḥijāzī wrote this commentary in verse because verse works are considered one of the teaching tools that help students memorize scientific content. Additionally, he added linguistic and literary benefits that Ibn al-Anbārī missed to the work and supported these benefits with evidence from the Quran, hadiths, and Arabic poetry. In our research on Ibn al-Anbārī 's unpublished commentary, we aimed to present the content of the work to contemporary readers. By indicating the sources of the verses and hadiths, we introduced Harîrî and al-Shihāb al-Ḥijāzī. We completed our study by subjecting the text to a meticulous examination using historical and scientific methods. The study consists of two parts: the first part introduces Harîrî and al-Shihāb al-Ḥijāzī, examines the book and the author's method, and explains the most important sources. The second part contains the authenticated text. The findings obtained are presented in the conclusion section. The most important of these findings is that Al-Durar al-Manẓūmah will significantly contribute to the Arabic library due to its many benefits related to the linguistic aspect. This is evident in the explanation of the meanings of words, the nuances they indicate, and the effort to reveal different meanings of the same word. Although the author's addition of a small number of comments to Ibn al-Anbārī's commentary has been criticized, al-Shihāb al-Ḥijāzī's quotations from the Quran, hadiths, poetry, dictionaries, and especially books on linguistic jurisprudence have given the work great scientific value. Some of these sources have been lost today.
