Teachers idea about 2005 school year 9th grade math curriculum

The main aim of this study is to investigate whether any variance there is between mathteachers? idea about 2005 school year 9th grade math curriculum according to theirteaching experience, kind of school which they study and their educational status. Thisstudy is a discriptive study. Europe district of Istanbul was chosen as the population ofthe study. The amount of the population is 2668 math teachers which are study informal high school at Europa district. 95 math teachers which are lecturing in 9th gradewere choosed as sample group. The sample group was choosed by proportional samplegroup method. The data was collected by a questionnaire ?Evaluation of 9th grademathematics teachers? opinion about 2005 school year mathematics curriculum?included 74 items, which is developed by Doc Dr. Seval Fer, Mathematics TeacherAbdulkadir Inan and Primary School Teacher Serkan Demir.The data was analysed by one factor variance analysis form (ANOVA). According tofindings there is no a significant difference between math teachers? ideas about 2005school year 9th grade math curriculum?s preparation dimension, objectives dimension,learning process dimension and subject dimensions according to their teachingexperience, kind of school which they study and their educational status. However thereis a significant difference between math teachers? ideas about 2005 school year 9thgrade math curriculum?s evaluation dimension according to their educational status.According to comparison test, there is a significant difference between graduatedteachers? ideas and undergraduted teachers? ideas. Also, there is no a significantdifference between math teachers? ideas about 2005 school year 9th grade mathcurriculum?s all items according to their teaching experience, kind of school which theystudy and their educational status.Key words: Curriculum, math lecture, teaching experience, kind of school, educationalstatus.
