Abstract (EN)

In this study, effects of Turkey plants, which is endemic of Dorystoechas hastata, Stachys aleurites and Anthemis ammophila were tested on A549 non-small cell lung cancer, Hela cervix cancer, and human fibroblast cells. Extracts were prepared via maceration of plant aerial parts, collected from its natural habitat, using methanol as solvent. The antitumoral activity of the extracts were investigated. Growth inhibition was tested by the MTT assay. All the experiments were repeated three times. Cytotoxic effects of all plant extracts were observed in all cells examined. Cytotoxic activitiy of the Anthemis ammophila extract was found to be higher than that other plants. Antitumoral activity of Dorystoechas hastata, Stachys aleurites and Anthemis ammophila aerial parts are shown for the first time.
