Abstract (EN)
In this research, AA 2014 aluminium alloy which was produced with the method of vertical gas atomization was used as a matrix material. Mixture aiming at manufacture of composite and MA method were used. Al2O3 which is used as an additional material was added at the rate of 1, 2, 4 and 8 %. One-way press and 675 MPa pressing pressure were subjected to the composite materials. Due to the fact that sufficient homogeneous distribution couldn?t be achieved in the mixture method; MA processes conducted were realised at the rate of 1/10 ball bearing with the speed of 350 rev/min for the period of 4 and 8 hours of alloying. Volume density values of the samples were calculated, microstructure images were taken and the macro hardness measurements were made. The same processes were conducted at 550, 560, 570, 580 and 600°C subsequent to the sintering under the Ar atmosphere. In line with the sintering, a decrease in the sample densities depending on the Al2O3 rate was determined. Due to the oxidation subsequent to the sintering, test samples acquired from the mixture powder lost the title of being appropriate for the mechanical test and age hardening process. 1, 2 and 4 % Al2O3 reinforcement composite material, which was produced subsequent to MA, was subjected to the solution treatment at 520°C for an hour, water was added, it was aged 180°C for the period of 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 hours. After the metallographic process of the test samples; SEM and EDS analyses were conducted. While an increase was observed as a result of these analyses, tensile tests couldn?t produce any evaluable result. When all test samples are analysed; it could be said that the most important factor affecting the manufacturability of Al2O3 reinforcement composite material originates from the environments that causes oxide formation.
