Abstract (EN)

Due to the general characteristics of aluminum alloys: lightness, machinability, corrosion resistance and high strength, they are widely used especially in aircraft fuselages, aircraft wings, automotive industry, construction industry, food and pharmaceutical industries, and their usage areas are increasing. Friction welding involves joining parts under axial pressure by utilizing the heat obtained by converting the mechanical energy produced by mechanically generated friction into thermal energy at the interface of two parts, one stationary and the other moving. Rotation speed, friction time, deposition pressure and deposition time are important parameters in the friction welding method. In this study; the join ability of AA 2024 and AA 7075 aluminum alloy bars with a diameter of 12 mm by friction welding was examined. In addition, welding was done by changing the friction welding process parameters and its microstructure and mechanical properties were examined. As a result of the investigations; It has been emphasized that AA 2024 and AA 7075 materials are joined without any problems and the parameters used have a significant effect on the joining quality.
