Mathematical modelling of springback on AA 2024 and AL 5754 sheet metal materials with experimental datas

Bending sheet metal molding process has an important place. Bending molding the desired dimensions and angles of the product is extremely important. In order to obtain the desired angle to bend parts, bent back and forth stretching rate of material should be well known. Study carried out in the two group of experiments were made. First, particularly in the automotive industry with different thickness AL 5754 sheet materials 60 °, 90 ° and 120 ° bending procedure was initiated. Thickness and angle of each used a different punch tip radii. In addition to 2 mm steel sheet rolling direction was parallel to the bending process. Second, the aviation industry is heavily used in different thicknesses (1,0; 1,5 ve 2,0 mm) steel sheet for AA 2024 60 °, 90 ° and 120 ° bending procedure was initiated. Thickness and angle of each used a different punch tip radii. Parallel to the rolling direction of the steel sheet 2 mm bending also performed to evaluate the impact of spring-back. As a result of experiments carried out at the AA 2024 and AL 5754 sheet materials are compared, the spring-back values of the different parameters have been identified. Different bending angles of the punch tip radius for both materials decreases with increasing the amount of spring-back. The increase of the thickness of the material and the bending angle reduces springback. Both materials are more brittle sheet material compared to AA 2024 and bending resistance is observed that an approximately 2-fold. The strength of this material is more clearly seen.
