Abstract (EN)

In this study, AA2024 aluminum alloy, heat treated by different heat treatment conditions (T0, T3 and T6 sample groups), was investigated by means of mechanical and machinability properties.Mechanical properties tensile, hardness and microstructure are investigated. Samples were examined by means of surface roughness and cutting forces at 150, 200 and 250 m/min cutting speeds and 0,1, 0,2 and 0,3 mm/round the amount of progress for each sample group. T0, T3 and T6 sample groups applied to heat treatment processing save the ideal surface roughness and cutting forces at 250 m/min cutting speed and 0.1 mm/round the amount of progress. While cutting forces and surface roughness of samples are being high in low tensile strength, high tensile strength samples have shown lower surface roughness and cutting forces.
