Abstract (EN)

The concept of 'almost zero energy building' emerged with the update of the energy performance directive in buildings in 2010, which is one of the most prominent of the legislation prepared for the purpose of transferring energy policies to implementation. In Turkey, since 2009, national legislation has been developed that will fulfill the principles of the energy performance directive in buildings, and work on almost zero-energy buildings is also underway. When the studies were examined, it was seen that office and residential buildings were mainly considered. In this context, the aim of the study is to investigate nseb improvement potentials and to prepare guidelines for the process of hotel buildings improvement studies. In this direction, energy policies were examined and nseb implementation and design criteria were discussed. It was used as a guide method prepared within the framework of the examples studied. As part of the study, the existing design parameters of the hotel building selected in Antalya province were transferred to the Design Builder program, which was preferred as an analysis tool, and energy analysis was performed. Data obtained as a result of the analysis were evaluated and improvement scenarios were prepared. By testing the scenarios, the best scenario was selected and 31% of energy consumption was saved. As a result, the energy optimal scenario was evaluated by the Nseb definition of Cyprus, which is equivalent in terms of climate data, and the study was completed.
