Abstract (EN)

With this study, we aimed to convey the life of Abbas b Ma'mûn, whose name we rarely encounter in the Abbasid dynasty, and his activities during the period of his father Abdullah al-Ma'mûn and his uncle Abu Ishak al-Muʻtasım. Our study consists of an introduction and two parts. In the introduction part, information about the scope, purpose and importance of our study is given. In the first part, discussions on Abbas b. Ma'mûn's ancestry, family, personality and succession are included. In the second part, the process of the Turks, who played a major role in Abbas b. Ma'mûn's ineffectiveness in the resistance during the caliphate, during the Ma'mûn and Mu'tasim periods is briefly explained. Then, brief information is given about the cities of Sugûr and Avâsım, of which Abbas b.
