Abstract (EN)
Basiclly, we aimed at surveying the maritime activities of Abbasides, while choosing the topic of our Master thesis. This concept, the maritime activities of Abbasides, includes the wars happened in the sea and the commercial activities.Furthermore, we mentioned about the residental areas on the coast and the islands on Mediterranean Sea in the period in detail. In order to understand the maritime activities of Abbasides better, we thought that mentioning about the developments on yhe maritime from the first periods of Islam is appropriate. We tried to give some information about this topic, too.
