US-China Relations: Analysis of the Richard M. Nixon Presidency (1969-1974)

The bilateral relations between the United States of America and the People's Republic of China are on the agenda again with the economic, social, military, and technological acceleration that China has achieved in recent years. The fact that the rise of China is centered on the Pacific Region and has global effects causes the global influence of the United States to be broken, which is the dominant player in the region. Throughout history, China has been presenting the image of a country exposed to US influence. Since the beginning of the 1800s USA has continued its activities in the region through the leaders, it has trained for its interests. However, with the proclamation of the Communist Revolution, the US adopted the principle of non-recognition. The process evaluated as the loss of China ended with the historic visit of the thirty-sixth President Richard Milhous Nixon to Pekin in 1972, and the China strategy of the US changed. The visit has been a turning point in both the Cold War and American diplomatic history. While the study focuses on the history of bilateral relations, and the strategies that the USA has carried out to include China in its sphere of influence, it also covers President Nixon's Presidential policies and the USA's changing China strategy.
