Abstract (EN)
Middle East is one of the most important regions of the world in terms of its strategic location and opportunities. In this region having strategic importance since the period of cold war, the interest of super powers have continued by increasing. The USA is the Soviet threat after 1945. The USA developed the strategy of preventing effect of Soviet and expansion of the Soviet Union. In 1948, with the establishment of Israel, an important allied was introduced in the region and policies of Middle East were established on the security of Israel and shaped accordingly.Decisions made about foreign policy of the USA before and after the cold war and theoretical approaches had absolutely effects. In this study, general structure of foreign policy of the USA and Israel during post-cold war period was examined and theoretical approaches of this period were explained and effects on the US foreign policy were discussed.Important changes of post-cold war period dragging Middle East to change were emphasized and policies of the USA and Israel in the region and effects of these policies on the region states were described. The period of 11th, September was assessed within the scope of study and its effects on present time were analyzed and changing policies of the USA and Israel in Middle East were explained.Key words: Middle East, USA, Israel foreign policy, 11th September, theories of international relations.
