Advances in media technology and news policies in the context of war news in the USA

?Information? and ?communication? have been of great importance for both societies and states throughout history. Thus, information and communication technologies which provide for the dissemination of information have always been followed, regulated and controlled. The method applied by the states to this end is, without doubt, communication policies.In this master?s thesis, communication policies implemented by the USA, a leading country in terms of development and proliferation of communication technologies, have been addressed in historical development process in line with legal, economic and political aspects. Effects of these communication technologies as well as policies on mass communication and journalism have also been studied.
