This thesis consists of three parts. In the first part, the place of the USA in the international system, power sources, foreign policy strategies, foreign policy decision-making system are tried to be examined. In the second part of the thesis, the concept of Asia Pacific and its region are introduced and its main political, economic, cultural and social characteristics are tried to be explained. Strategic problems in Asia-Pacific, factors affecting the strategic balance and issues that threaten regional and global security are also discussed in this section. In the third part of the thesis, the importance of the Asia-Pacific region for the USA and the USA's policies towards this region have been tried to be explained.
