About the vocabulary of Abdulhak Sinasi Hisar's books

Vocabulary is the greatest wealth of a language. It significantly contributes to the culture, values and lifestlyle of a society; and it helps create and transfer its world of concepts. The vocabulary studies based on writers can give a glimpse of their lexicon, wording and mindset. This study firstly includes information about one of Turkish literature's well-known writers, Abdülhak Şinasi Hisar's life, writing style and literary personality. It moves on to scan his seven literary works in order to determine the most frequently used word groups, and analyze them further. The article aims to capture a general idea of Abdülhak Şinasi Hisar's culture and outlook on life and how it is reflected in these seven works by analyzing the sentences that represent his style.
