Exegesis method of Abdurrazzâk b. Hemmâm es-San'ânî

In this study, tafsir method in the book named Tefsirul-Qur'an of Abdurrazzak b. Hemmam, who was one of the pioneers of riwayah tafsir and his life were examined. The study consists of an introduction, three chapters and a result. In the introduction, a general information about the topic, aim, method and resources of the study was given. Abdurrazzak's life, hodjas, students and works were narrated in the first chapter. Furthermore, information about subject described in tafsir and prologue was informed. The riwayahs which the mufassir analyzed about these subjects under makki-madani, nasih-mansuh, asbab al-nuzul, mubhamat al-Qur'an titles were studied in the second chapter. Tafsir was discussed under the titles of dirayah and riwayah in the third chapter. Subjects such as Qur'an tafsir with Qur'an, Qur'an tafsir with circumcision and Qur'an tafsir with opinions of the sahaba and tabiun are examined in the riwayah section. Subjects such as recitation, amsal al-Qur'an, Islamic law and word descriptions are discussed in dirayah section. These three chapters were evaluated briefly in the result.
