Abstract (EN)

Purpose of this study is , shed light on the relations of centre and the provinces according to the notes of one of the important figures of Abdülhamit era. These notes known as Defter-i Abidin Paşa not only clarifies associations with Bab-ı âli but also with the society itself. We think that these notes are very important for viewing effects of works done by the governors of important provinces like Adana , Ankara , Cezayir-i Bahr-ı Sefid on people.This book kept by Abidin Paşa who served in mentioned provinces for a long time, contains valuable information about himself. Paşa who was a well rounded man, had works on religion , morals and sufism. Some of these had printed more than once. These notes of Paşa highlights his statesmanship and applications. We believe that by organizing and presenting notes called Defter-i Abidin Paşa did a great service to enthusiasts and researchers.
