Abstract (EN)
Air-pollutant substances are seen all over the globe. Heavy metals are enumerated in the first place among the components of air pollution. Because some of the heavy metals are known to cause toxic or carcinogenic effects, even in low concentrations, for living things and especially for people. Leaf surfaces in plants form the interface between plants and deteriorating atmospheric environment. Therefore, it is the first contact point between plants and air pollutants and constitutes an effective barrier to contaminant penetration. The outer surfaces of the leaves are covered with a thin membrane called cuticule. This membrane layer has many basic functions, including the Prevention of excessive water loss, the regulation of dissolved matter intake and the preservation of photosynthetic tissues, and the Prevention of harmful radiation from stratospheric ozone depletion, such as advanced UV-B. The wood structure also gives us information about the continents they are exposed to and their level as they have been in the same position for many years. The wood structure also gives us information about the continents they are exposed to and their level as they have been in the same position for many years. The study was carried out on the strain Abies nordmanniana subsp. equi-trojani (Asc. & Sint. ex Boiss.) Coode & Cullen, which is located in the city center of Kastamonu, where traffic is intense, little and hardly ever. The branches were cut and classified according to their age, the samples classified as age were divided into leaf, shells and branches and the necessary measurement procedures were performed. Variance analysis was performed with the help of SPSS package program. As a result, all elements of different age leaf, shell and wood amounts were statistically different at least 99.9% confidence level.
