The influence of the relationship between the five factor personality traits and the attitude of team work in emergency health care workers

Abstract (EN)

The study, which was designed considering that personality traits would guide us to understand and explain the changes in human behaviours in working environments, aims to review the relation between the five factor personality traits of emergency health care workers and their attitude of being successful team members. The study was conducted with 321 team members working actively in 112 emergency health care services command and control centre and emergency health care service stations in Balıkesir who volunteered to take part in the study. In this scope, an "Information Form" that was developed regarding the socio-economic and work life and "Big Five Factor Personality Scale" and "Team Work Attitude Scale" were used to collect research data. The data collected under the study were analysed using SPSS 22.0 packaged software. T-test, ANOVA test, Tukey test and Perason correlation and regression analyses were used in the frequency analysis, reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, factor analysis and difference analysis for the assessment of data. According to the results of data analysis, there is a positive relation between Conscientiousness, Agreeableness, Extraversion and Openness to Experience and Team Work Attitude and a meaningful and negative relation between Neuroticism and Team Work Attitude.
