Abstract (EN)
Relation Between Emergency Aid Disaster Management Program and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder The aim of the study was to provide information to the students of Emergency and Disaster Management program who were trained to take part in the aid and rescue work in the future to have knowledge about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder that they may be exposed to in business life. The research consists of three parts. The first part talks about the necessity of the disaster management process in Turkey and Disaster Management program. In the second part, what is Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, its historical process and in which occupations are more common and its symptoms are mentioned. In the third part, the scale of ''Psychological Endurance for Adults'' we apply to students is evaluated. The study was contucted on 195 voluntess students who study in Emergency and Disaster Management degree and associate degree program and Civil Defence Firefighting associate degree program. The scale was accepted as statistically significant (p<0,05) and the analyzes were completed at 95% confidence level. According to the research, there is no significant difference in terms of psychological durability of female and male students (p> 0,05), however, there was a significant difference between undergraduate and associate students (p <0,05). As a result, rescue and aid people constitute the vulnerable group. Students who are likely to encounter many tragic cases during their professional life should be given extensive training by experts in the field of post-traumatic stress disorder and Psychological support should be provided on how to get rid of the effects of traumatic conditions.
