The architectural buildings in Kozan town in Adana (House architecture is not included)

The most important aim of this study is to investigate the Mosque of Hoşkadem and the Bazaar (Arasta) near to it in Kozan, Ankara that they were not investigated before and to provide information about them. Our another aim is to document the buildings and pariticularly the Bazaar (Arasta) where has a risk to be disappeared. During our research, there has been made some changes in the Mosque of Hoşkadem by keeping its originality. These changes have taken place in the thesis with the stages. In every stage of the buildings, the changes have been documented by photographs. As part of the subject, the plans of the Mosque and the Bazaar (Arasta) were taken place in the study, the epigraphs were read and the by this way the research have been gained a new dimension. While the Mosque and the Bazaar (Arasta) were being searched, firstly the buildings were examined in their places first and then the findings were compared with the records of Vakıflar Genel Müdürlüğü. The plans which were received from Vakıflar Genel Müdürlüğü and examined, the measurements of the building was determined. By taking into consideration of the literature, the writing process of the study started. Since there were various civilization that had prevailed in that region, the interaction was fated. The plans, figurations and the characteristics of the ingathering stones proved this interaction. In this study, some changes about the buildings were came to light and they were documented. For instance, it was pointed out that since the additional part of the Mosque was removed which was added to the building previously, the grave part of the building was proved. The name of the architect was read from the epigraph which was located entrance of the building. Moreover, the changes that occurred by the permission of making worship at the Mosque again were documented by photographs. In conclusion, in the light of the information that were obtained during the research, it was tried to show how the buildings changed in history according to the civilizations that lived in Kozan Region and the importance of the building was emphasized.
