The general structure, problems and some suggestions of dairy cattle farms at Pozanti district of Adana

This research was carried out at dairy cattle farms in Pozantı district of Adana. Field visits were undertaken between September 2014 and May 2015. 80 dairy farms were selected by using random stratified sampling method and mach by the government extension and administration officers data. The visited farms were headed by a village/ward chairperson and were selected on the basis of having a higher concentration of cattle breeders in their farm. In this study, the structure of enterprises engaged in dairy cattle, marketing issues and is intended to set out the advantages and the disadvantages of business during production period were investigated. Data wasa divided into two groups for the presence of animals in the form of businesses with 1-5 to 6 and overhead animals. In this study, the overall situation of enterprises dealing with dairy cattle operations in Pozantı county, milk production system, business structural conditions, to reveal the organizational structure with milk sales and marketing situations, focused on the business of the activity status. In addition, determining to the problems faced by businesses, solutions to these problems will be presented.
