Abstract (EN)

This study was conducted in order to determine the species that have been damaged on onion cultivation areas and their parasitoids and predators in Adana province in 2017-2018. In addition, the population development has been studied in particular Thrips tabaci and other thrips species in three different regions of Adana on onion between October 2017- May 2018. Periodic exits and periodic exits were made for surveys were carried out in three different regions [(Sarıçam, Yüreğir (Misis)], Karataş) in order to follow the population development of the harmful thrips on onion. As a result of the study, 18 species were identified from 9 families belonging to 4 orders; in these species were; Eobania vermiculata Müller, Thrips tabaci Lindeman, Frankliniella occidentalis Pergande. The parasitoids and predators identified from 6 families of 4 orders, of which 5 species have been identified; Aeolothrips collaris Priesner, A. fasciatus L., A. ericae Bagnall, Coccinella septempunctata L., and Orius niger Wolff. Also during the study; the most common species of thrips in onions were also identified, with 81% of Thrips tabaci and 18% of Frankliniella occidentalis with high populations, while other species were only 1%. In the study conducted to determine the population density of thrips. It was determined that the difference in the density of thrips in 3 onion sowing area that were followed periodically was statistically insignificant.
