Analyzing the tendency of income and saving of the household in the city of Adana

It?s a very important point how individuals that constitute the basics of the economy, control their income. That?s because the feature of whole economy is being effected of individuals reaction to the condition of the economy that is formed unexpectedly. Therefore, income tendency of household of Adana city, income sources of the householder, total income of the household, saving tendency and investments they canalized their savings are examined in the work. While this work is on, 1250 household is chosen from different districts of Adana consisted of the basic sample of this search.Before determinig of income and saving tendency, terms related to income and some theories about these terms are also explained. Consumption, its? connection with income and furthermore theories of comsumption are examined to figure out the household?s deal of comsumption. Empirical works about savings, income and consumption are surveyed. Giving information and explaining about general structure of the household of Adana (education, actual job, social security association), income sources, saving rate or the reasons why saving is not done, in the condition of making investment what are their choices for aims constitute the purpose of the thesis work.To reach this aim November 2007 and November 2008 surveys are explained comparatively by separate graphics and charts. Most of the families cannot be able to make savings. While their own for investment is low, but their own for consumption is rather high. Families usually make an investment to secure their children's future and use gold as means to turn it into account.
