Abstract (EN)

The ultimate aim of this study is to identify the Euphyllura spp. İn Adana and Mersin region and find out the biological charecteristics of this species such as overwintering, population decelopment of egg, nymph, adult process, fertility, parasitoid and predators.In this study, the main protection methods of oil orchards from Euphyllura straminea has been searched out. It is identified that the olive psyllid specie is Euphyllura straminea Loginova (Hemiptera: Psyllidae) in selected three oil orchards in Adana and Mersin and the population development has been followed. For this aim, counting of eggs, nymph and adult have been carried out by taking shoots samples periodically between the years 2008-2010. The top egg number has been atttained on April, October and January. Reproduction of E. straminea found out three times per year. Adults have been through out all year and began to diapause in June that lasting till early October. The climation and its effects on plant?s phenology period has been determined. Besides 14 parasitoid and predator species belong to 8 families related to 7 order have been observed.
