Developing superstructure information system of Adana–Mersin railway line by using geographic information system

Railways come into prominence in sectoral area. Despite developed countries has completed railway transportation system before a century, in Turkey, railway net is defective and most of railway net is single line. In recent years, Turkish Railways shows a great development, so Turkish Railways is opened to new technologies. In this study, Turkish State Railways net Adana – Mersin line such as, superstructure, geometric situation and stations is transferred into GIS environment and developed a data base for realising analisis.
