Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study was to conduct an analysis of the moderating role of leader-member exchange on the impact of work engagement on turnover intention. The population of the study is determined as the people who work in the aviation industry in Turkey. The sample consisted of N = 605 individuals who work in the aviation industry in Turkey. IBM AMOS was used to assess the reliability and validity of instruments, and the PROCESS macro for IBM SPSS was used for conducting correlation and moderation analyses. Both work engagement and leader-member exchange were negatively related to turnover intention. Additionally, a positive relationship was found between leadermember exchange and work engagement. The findings also indicate that leader-member exchange moderates the impact of work engagement on turnover intention. According to the moderation analysis, as the level of leader-member exchange decreases, the effect of work engagement on turnover intention strengthens.
