Özet (EN)
Adiantum capillus-veneris L. is one of the best fern that is used like traditional source such as used it to broken stone kidney or Urolithiasis. This study evaluated antioxidant capacity of A. capillus-veneris different extracts (methanol, ethyl acetate and water) using phosphomolybdenum assay (109-387 mgAAE/g), free radical scavenging activity (DPPH), ferric reducing antioxidant potential (FRAP) (107-218 mg TE/g), and cupric ion reducing power activity test (CUPRAC). And also total phenolic and flavonoid contents of different extracts were determined changing between 354-441 mg GAE/g and 23-123 mg QE/g, respectively. The enzyme inhibition activities were determined by using acetylcholinesterase (0.09±0.02-0.82 mgGALAEs/g), tyrosinase (22.95±2.55-24.99±2.16 mgKAE/g), α-amylase (0.17±0.01-1.76±0.06 mmolACAE/g), α-glucosidase (1.01±0.09-3.69±0.23 mmolACAE/g). Butrylcholinesterase inhibition is not active for each extract of A. capillus-veneris. The results indicated that generally, the different extracts of A. Capillus-veneris L. can be used as a natural source of antioxidants and enzyme inhibitors. Thus it can be valuable for food and pharmaceutical areas.
