Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study wastoinvesti gate the effect of motoriccharacteristics on accurateshooting in adolescent basketball players. Inaddition, it wasaimed to examine there lation ship between en durance, streng thand speed characteristic sand shooting performance of basketball players. In the study, 50 adolescentmale basketball players aged 14-18 years who played basketball in sports clubs and sports high schools in Muş province in 2022-2023 werer and omly selected. The athletes weretested with 30 s push-up, 20 m. sprint, verticaljump, 20 m. shuttlerun, sit-stand, flamingo balanceand AAHPERD shootingtests. After descriptive statistics, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was performed fornormality distribution since the number of participants was morethan 30. As a result of the normal distribution of thedata, Pearsonproduct-moment correlation test was used to determine there lation ship betweenthe motor and technical skills of the participants. Inaddition, multiplelinearregressionanalysis was applied to determine the effect between variables. As a result, a high positive correlation was found betweenthe AAHPERD basketball skill test values and 30 s push-up and medicine ball throw values, a moderate positive correlation between vertical jump, shuttlerun and flexibility values, and a moderate negative correlation between 20 m sprint and agility values. 30 s push-up, verticaljump, medicine ball throw, 20 m sprint, shuttlerun, flexibility and agility variables together predicted the AAHPERD basketball skill test at a significant level.
