Abstract (EN)
Aim: This research aims to investigate the relationship between peer bullying and self-esteem in adolescents. Metarial and Method: The research is a descriptive type of study. The universe of the study consisted of 1.,2.,3. And 4. Degree of highschool students different socioeconomic status of Gerger country town of Adıyaman city with. The sample of the study, on the other hand, was determined by power analysis and 394 adolescents with 95% confidence interval, 0.05 error level, 0.25 effect size and 95% population representation power.'Peer Victimisation Determation Questionary' 'Rosenberg Self Esteem Questionary' and 'Peer Victimisation Questionary' were used for data collection. The data were collected between march 2022 and june 2022. The data obtained from the research were evaluated using the SPSS-28 package program. İn this evaluation, freguency, percentage, distribituion, mean, standard deviation, independent groups t test, pearson correlation analysis and cronbach's alpha coefficient were used. Result: While 29.1 % of the people participating in the research are exposed to bullying, 24.9 % are bullied. There is a statistically significant difference in terms of Rosenberg self-esteem scale scores between people who are bullied and those who are not (p<0.05). There is a statistically significant difference in the scores of the Rosenberg self-esteem scale between the bullying and non-bullying individuals (p<0.05). İt has been determined that there is a significant relationship between self-esteem and bullying and being exposed to bullying (p<0.05). Conclusion: As a result of this study, it was determined that was a low-level significant positive correlation between adolescents' peer bullying and self-esteem score averages (p<0.05). It was found that the level of self-esteem increased with the increase in the level of adolescents' bullying towards their friends. İn addition, it was found that self-esteem increased with the increase in victimization of peer bullying. Keywords: Adolescent, Peer Victimisation, Self Esteem
