Relational examination of eating behaviors, mental stability and physical activity level of adolescents

Aim: Relational evaluation of adolescents' eating behaviors, mental toughness and physical activity level. Materials and Methods: A total of 924 students, 614 (66.5%) male and 310 33.5% female, participated in the research in two high schools in Manisa voluntarily. Adolescents' Eating Behaviors Detection Scale (AYDSÖ), EİZDÖ-UF Scale-Long Form (EİZDÖ-UF), UFADA (UFADA) and personal information form were used to obtain the data. SPSS25 package program was used to evaluate the data. In addition to descriptive techniques, t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used in data analysis, Tukey test and Pearson Correlation test were used to determine the difference between groups. Type 1 error was accepted as. 05. Results: When the relationship between EIZDÖ-UF, AYDSÖ and UFADA scores was examined, a low level of positive, statistically significant relationship was found between them. In terms of the UFADA factor, EZDS-UF was found to be in favor of those with high activity levels. EIZDÖ-UF, AYDSÖ and UFADA scores were found to be different in favor of men according to the gender variable. According to the school variable of the students, EIZDÖ-UF, AYDSÖ and UFADA scores were found in favor of the students studying at Vocational and Anatolian High Schools. In terms of the class variable, the 12th grades' AFDS scores were lower than the 9th, 10th and 11th grades. Conclusion: As a result of the research, EZDS-UF, AYDSÖ and UFADA scores were found to be positively correlated at a low level. Differences were found in EIZDÖ-UF, AYDSÖ and UFADA scores according to gender, school and class variables. Those with high UFADA levels had higher AYDSÖ and EİZDS-UF scores. Accordingly, it can be thought that regular and appropriate physical activity of adolescents will support their eating behaviors and mental resilience.
