Özet (EN)

In this study, the treatment of domestic and industrial wastewater was carried out with studies on the evaluation of the AB process in terms of treatability for the capacity and gains of existing treatment plants. For this purpose, a field-scale pilot plant with a capacity of 50 m3/day based on the AB process was established and operated. The results obtained from the pilot plant were compared with the current facility analysis results and literature results. Pilot facility; A stage is formed in aeration and sedimentation pool, B stage is formed in anoxic pool, aeration pool and final sedimentation ponds. There is a 1,72 hour hydraulic retention time in the A stage and 10,8 hours in the B stage. Both stages were operated with % 100 recirculation and % 100 internal recirculation flow rate. COD, TSS, TN, TP removals were monitored in the pilot plant. As a result of the study; For the AB process, the yields of the average COD, SS, TN, TP parameters were found to be % 77, % % 34, % 55 and % 28, respectively. The efficiencies of the average COD, SS, TN, TP parameters for the existing treatment plant were calculated as % 90, % 85, % 76 and % 73, respectively. Differences have emerged between the yields of both plants. Especially if the existing plant is converted to an AB process, it has been revealed that nitrogen removal will be difficult as the sludge age will decrease considerably. It has been determined that in the case of inlet wastewater TN concentration above 34 mg/L, the TKN concentration in the treated wastewater will exceed the legal limits. Since the TN parameter will also vary as a result of the variable character of the wastewater coming to the existing facility, it has been demonstrated that converting the existing facility to the AB process will not allow an increase in capacity and efficiency
