Abstract (EN)
The developing technology and needs for the increasing population and accordingly the increasing demand have increased environmental pollution in different sectors over time. Wastewater containing dyes comes first among environmental pollution. For this reason, dye removal from aqueous media is still one of the issues that are sought for solutions among scientists. The most widely used method is adsorption and in this method adsorbent plays an important role. The absorber should be cheap, easily available, durable and most importantly, environmentally friendly. Therefore, within the scope of the thesis peat from Adıyaman region was used for the removal malachite green, crystal violet and methylene blue dyes . In the study, the amount of peat to be used as adsorbent and dye concentrations were kept constant and the relationship between temperature and time parameters for dye removal was tried to be clarified. The adsorption of malachite green dye, in which peat was used as an adsorbent, was in accordance with the Langmuir isotherm model and the adsorption capacity was calculated as 6,901 mg/g. In the light of the analyzes, RL and n values it can be said that the realized adsorption is physical adsorption. It was observed that the adsorption of methylene blue was in accordance with the Freundlich isotherm and the adsorption capacity was found as 363,726 mg/g. When the analyzes, RL and n values are examined it can be said that the adsorption is chemical adsorption. In the adsorption of the crystal violet it was observed that adsorption of dye was suitable for the Langmuir isotherm and the adsorption capacity was calculated as 13,221 mg/g. Considering the analyses, RL and n values, it can be said that the adsorption occurred is both chemical and physical.
