Research of palynological and physicochemical parameters of honey in Adiyaman, Kahramanmaras and Sanliurfa regions

In 2017, total of 27 honey samples were collected from local beekeepers, 8 from Adıyaman, 10 from Kahramanmaraş and 9 from Şanlıurfa. As a result of pollen analyzes of collected honey samples; 68 taxa belonging to 29 families belonging to Adıyaman, 78 taxa belonging to 36 families belonging to Kahramanmaraş and 72 taxa belonging to 33 families belonging to Şanlıurfa were found in the. 98 taxa belonging to 41 families were identified in the honeys belonging to these three regions. Of 27 honey samples, one was identified as unifloral and the other 26 samples as multifloral. In the unifloral specimen, the Astragalus sp. taxon was detected dominantly. In the other 26 samples, the taxons with secondary pollen were; Astragalus sp., Brassica sp., Centaurea sp., Carduus sp., Taraxacum sp., Coronilla sp., Medicago sp., Trifolium sp., Echium sp., Myosotis sp., Paliurus sp., Phleum sp., Populus, sp., Cerasus sp., Prunus sp. and Nicotiana sp. When the moisture, acidity, pH, brix values of the honey samples analyzed, it was seen that the values determined in other honeys, except one sample, were in accordance with the European Union Honey Codex and Turkish Food Codex Honey Communique.
